Celebrating Kiana: 

Kiana is currently a teaching assistant at MSU and has presented her research at several conferences. She is also a volunteer coordinator for the Latinx Film Festival in East Lansing, Michigan—the largest Latinx Film Festival at Michigan State University! 

What advice/tips/consejos would you give students in terms of navigating school? 

Study what you want to study! Prioritize good relationships with faculty and staff, and find (or create) a space where you feel welcomed and cherished. You are important, and your work matters!

What are your professional/career aspirations?

I want to be a professor.

My family inspires me to learn and grow!
