CLS Summer Internship Spotlight: Estefania Reyes-Reynoso

CLS is proud to share a series of Summer Intern Spotlights! Please meet Estefania Reyes-Reynoso who is interning with Capital Area Latina Youth.

Estefania, a Neuroscience senior and CLS minor, is working with Maria Serrato developing a girls' mentorship program.

"While interning this summer at Capital Area Latina Youth I hope to gain and expand my skills developing youth programming and design a framework for a girls’ mentorship program that serves the Greater Lansing area to develop a community of Latinas that are empoderadas y educadas (empowered and educated)! Being able to serve as a leader and working to build a supporting space for Latina/e youth to find community in while also developing themselves professionally and personally is what I hope to bring to CALY and the Lansing Latina community through this girls’ mentorship program; just like the programming that I was able to have growing up that similarly benefited me and many other young women."
