CLS PhD student presents her research on adventure therapy with latinx youth

CLS Graduate Student Esther Ayers has presented her research at the 2020 AEE Symposium for Experiential Education Research.

Esther presented her paper "A literature review of adventure therapy with latinx youth in community-based settings: Implications for research and practice"  as part of the Mental Health & Wellness session.  The symposium took place virtually Nov. 12-14, 2020. The abstract was published in the Journal of Experiential Education Nov. 9.

Esther is a second year PhD student in Chicano Latino Studies program. Her area of interest include Latinx youth, mental health and culturally adaptive interventions. Esther graduated from University of Michigan School of Social Work. In addition, she is a licensed clinical social worker.
