Dr. Marla Ramirez discusses "Gendered Banishment: Archives and Oral Histories"

CLS minors are invited to join us for two Latinx Studies Research Methodologies events, the first featuring Dr. Marla Ramirez.

Marla Andrea Ramírez holds a PhD in Chicana and Chicano studies with a doctoral emphasis in feminist studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Currently, she is a chancellor’s postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Latina/Latino Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Her lecture will focus on "Gendered Banishment: Archives and Oral History."

It will be followed by Dr. Jasmin Patron-Vargas discussing "Coding and Latinx Studies: A Brief Workshop" on Jan. 30.
