Join the CYI LGBTQIA+ Team as we welcome Dr. Samuel Saldivar on Tuesday, May 25th at 10:00 AM for a 90-minute presentation and discussion on the intersecting identities of Latinx and LGBTQIA+.

Dr. Saldivar is the Multicultural Educational Coordinator with the Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives (I3). He will be leading a presentation around Latinx History & Latinx/LGBTQIA+ identities in the USA. After the presentation, we will have group discussions on the pre-work readings. We will wrap up with a large group discussion on how we can bring this knowledge back to 4-H and how we can support 4-H members & volunteers who are Latinx and LGBTQIA+.

Prior to the presentation, Dr. Saldivar would like all participants to read the following to help better prepare us for the meaningful and important conversations we will have:

1. The Organizer's Tale by César Chávez
