Rocío Quispe Agnoli is William J. Beal Professor of Hispanic Studies at Michigan State University. Her areas of expertise include Colonial Latin American literatures and cultures, Andean studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Visual Studies, and Speculative Fiction. She has published 4 scholarly book, 1 book of short fiction, and lately, Qhipa Pacha. Futurismo Peruano, which includes a bilingual anthology and the first systematic study of Peruvian futurisme. Additionally, she has authored more than 80 scholarly essays in academic journals and essay collections. Her latest recognitions include the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women of Color Collective at MSU (2024) and, in 2025, the Faculty Legacy Award from MSU’s College of Arts & Letters.
