Biography
Karessa serves as communications manager for Chicano/Latino Studies as well as the departments of Sociology and Political Science. She also is an instructor in the School of Journalism. She has bachelors' degrees in Journalism and Anthropology from MSU and a master's degree in Environmental Journalism, also from MSU. She was worked as an environmental journalist in Maryland and Michigan. She and her husband, Brian Wheeler, live in East Lansing with their three children and countless pets.
