Biography

Angelica Ruvalcaba is a third year dual Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology and the Chicano/Latino Studies Program at Michigan State University. In 2017, she graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minors in Latina/o and Mexican American Studies and History. Her research interests include areas of Latina/o Sociology, Sociology of Education, Race/Ethnicity and Migration. Angelica is also the recipient of the 2019-2020 Julian Samora Endowed Scholarship.
